A Small Check-In
I updated my /music page with a new YouTube listener badge and decided I kind of wanted to do a small blog post as well, with photos!
First up, Danny got new glasses, which I think suit him perfectly, and I just really love this picture of him holding Ranni.

Next, these photos may look familiar if you've been following my blog for a while because I'm pretty sure I've posted similar ones before. I had breakfast at one of my favorite local restaurants, The Farmacy, with my mom, sister, and niece. I can never pass up a chance to sing the praises of their chicken with biscuits, gravy, and candied bacon. It's absolutely indulgent and will leave you feeling full for the rest of the day, but it's such a delicious meal to have every now and then.
I also love the decor there and the fresh flowers on every table.

A Ranni update: She dealt with spring allergies for a while, but she's doing much better now. We take her to the park every day, sometimes twice a day, where she plays fetch and splashes in the pond. Her favorite summer foods are pineapple and peaches. I'll ask if she wants to go on "an adventure," which she gets very excited about, and then take her on a car ride with the windows rolled down. Sometimes we'll end up at my parents' house, where she gets to enjoy their backyard for a while. She's beautiful, cuddly, playful, and just the best girl. 💗

Lastly, Danny and I recently came up with three adventures that we'd each like to have together this year. I wrote down the list:

Commander Day is a Magic the Gathering event held at one of our local game stores, where people play their Commander decks against each other. Danny wants us to attend one of these. Personally, I'm a bit nervous about it because I'm very introverted, but it'd be fun to meet some other MtG fans together.
Hiking with Ranni is Danny's second choice, but honestly, I want to do a lot of this in the coming months. I'd like to make a day trip of it soon and hike to a waterfall, where we can all cool off in the water afterwards.
H Mart is a Korean supermarket, and there's a large one outside of Atlanta that Danny has been wanting to visit. I think he wants to go there mainly for the kimchi and cooking ingredients, but I'm most interested in the delicious breads in their bakery section. This would be another fun day trip, and maybe we could hit up the Atlanta Botanical Garden as well.
This is where my choices for adventures begin. Of course, I'm all for staying in and having a cozy night with horror movies and popcorn. Very adventurous, huh? 😋
Seven Islands State Birding Park is where we had our engagement photos taken, and I've wanted to go back and explore it ever since. I'd love to take Ranni with us and have my digicam ready to snap photos of every bird I see.
Dolly Parton's theme park is only about a 45-minute drive away from us. I've been countless times throughout my life, but it's a been a few years since I last went and several new rides have been added since then. Danny and I have never been to an amusement park together, and I want to see him on a rollercoaster. 😁
Let's see if we can accomplish these!
