Hey there, and welcome to my site! I'm Alyssa, also known as Syl among friends, hence the title. I'm in my 30s, I use the pronouns she/her, and I'm an introvert and goth at heart.
I live in the southern United States, in a pollen-filled valley of the Appalachians, where I share an apartment with my husband and our dog, Ranni.
To pay the bills, I work from home as an accountant, but when I'm not working my day job, I write!
I also like to play video games, read books, swim, go to concerts, play Magic the Gathering, drink coffee, and pet dogs. I collect Silent Hill merch, enamel pins, Monster High dolls, and CDs. I'm a huge fan of all things horror and dark, but I also love cute and sparkly things like Sanrio and the color pink.

The Site
This is simply a personal blog where I can ramble about anything and everything that comes to mind without having to edit myself or pay particular attention to what I'm writing. It's a cathartic outlet where I can be myself.
