Blaugust Reflections and Sunday Goals
I made a conscious decision not to blog yesterday. That means another day of missing Blaugust, but I'm okay with it. We had a friend's birthday party to go to, and after that I spent the rest of the day playing with Ranni, getting some reading in, and focusing on things I needed to do. I allowed myself to have time away from this blog.
It's difficult to post every day and to push myself to post on days when it's not coming naturally. Just like last year, I'm having mixed feelings about Blaugust. I always start out optimistic and strong, and then by the middle of it I start wondering if I'm being a nuisance by posting so much, and the burnout begins to settle in. I'm going to keep trying to blog every day, but I can't guarantee I'll succeed. Hopefully I can find a spark for Blaugust again.
It's early morning right now, and I've been up for the past three hours. I went to bed early and woke up early, which is rare for me on a weekend! Some of my plans for the day:
Take my digicam out on a walk and try to snap some photos of interesting things I see.
Have lunch at Waffle House with Danny. We've been talking about going for the past few days but haven't found a good time yet. We love Waffle House, and it's always been kind of a staple of our relationship, but we haven't eaten there in a while. We're overdue for a visit. I usually order the All-Star Special -- two scrambled eggs, bacon, and a waffle. And coffee, of course! Waffle House has that inexplicably good diner coffee that comes in a classic ceramic cup.
Make good progress on a review I'm working on for Adventure Game Hotspot. This one is a bit of a high-profile game and requires a quick turnaround. I'd also like to play some Servant of the Lake today, the new Rusty Lake game that just came out, but the review game is the priority.
Get in a long workout. I'd like to do some cardio and strength exercises for around an hour today.
I'll check in tomorrow and let you know if I accomplished these goals.
