Blaugust Thoughts
Phew, we still have a few days left of Blaugust, and I'm going to admit, I'm struggling a bit. It's hard to come up with something to post about every single day, and I've missed a few days as well. I do have plans for a couple of end-of-the-month posts, so I'm looking forward to those. I'm planning on posting about the books I've read this month and some more small games I've played.
I actually have more plans for posts in September than for the rest of August. The 4th is Ranni's birthday, so I want to honor her with a post, of course. Danny and I are also going on a road trip to Nashville next week to see one of our favorite bands, so I'm sure I'll post about that. And at the end of September, I'm going to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights, which is a bucket list item for me. There will absolutely be a post about that!
I'm sitting in front of my laptop at the dining room table, drinking a coffee while I write. I've just wrapped up work for the day. I'm looking out the window at trees fluttering in the breeze and listening to the low rumble of the dishwasher. I'm planning to take Ranni with me to my parents' house in about an hour, where we'll have spaghetti and play board games for our weekly family night. It feels unfair to savor moments like these and recognize that I'm happy, in light of [gestures widely] everything, but...well, I guess I kind of am.
