More Random Thoughts
The endoscopy went well! There's nothing major to worry about. I'll have to be on medication for the foreseeable future, but that's no big deal. I'm also waiting a couple of weeks for biopsy results to come back, but my doctor is optimistic and everything looks benign.
Much of my time over the past three days has been taken up by Silent Hill: Townfall. I'm sad to see mixed reviews on Steam because I'm loving it so far. Critic reviews were really good, though, and my guess is that a lot of people didn't realize how much of a stealth game it would be and just aren't fans of stealth horror. I definitely don't think it's a game for everyone, but I adore it. It respects your intelligence by not holding your hand too much and letting you problem-solve on your own. The puzzles are fantastic, and the atmosphere is absolutely incredible. As I wrote in my review on Steam, I love foggy St. Amelia, where you can almost smell the saltwater in the air, and the industrial-styled Otherworld that feels like a Brutalist nightmare.
Danny is finally done with his last two weeks at his previous job. That means he doesn't have to work double shifts anymore, and he gets out of work most days at 2:00pm, which gives us plenty of time to spend together in the afternoon/evening. His new schedule is great!
The weather has cooled down here, and it's starting to feel like autumn. It's still not as cool as I would like, but I'm a winter person who prefers to be cold and wear sweatshirts all the time, and climate change is more depressing than ever. I'm hoping that once we get to mid-October, the temperature will settle into a nice chilliness.
My next post might be another edition of "Internet Things" because I've been reading some great articles around the web lately.
I also want to do another photolog, but I haven't been using my digicam much because I haven't gone anywhere super interesting, just the same park we always go to. I didn't take it with me on our trip to Red River Gorge because I didn't want to carry it while hiking and risk dropping it or stumbling. I might make a trip downtown soon with the goal of snapping some photos, and we're planning a day trip to Atlanta, so I could look at that as an opportunity for photos as well.
