My Steam Profile
One thing I've always loved is personalizing my online presence. I see it as being similar to decorating, which is another thing I love to do, both in real life and in virtual worlds.
I keep my Steam profile decorated, in a sense. I recently revamped it, focusing on similar colors and the games I love. I thought it would be fun to go over some of the details and my thought process behind them.
Profile pic: I chose an official image of Alma Armas from VA-11 Hall-A, one of my favorite visual novels. I love Alma's character design and personality. She's kind of a big sister to the main character, Jill, and she's a super intelligent hacker. The dark floral frame goes perfectly with her shirt and eyes, and the deep purple and blue colors really resonate with me.
Background and Theme: I chose the theme colors to try to match the profile pic and frame, and I think it turned out great! The background image depicts a pixelated Seattle from the visual novel Coffee Talk. Not only does it match the colors as well, but it also has personal significance because Seattle is where my husband proposed. I have great memories of the city and plan to return someday.
Badge: I chose the "All-around Badass" badge from Kathy Rain, again because of the color match but also because it's one of my all-time favorite games. Am I an all-around badass? I can't really say, but the badge kinda makes me feel like one!

Favorite Games: I settled on these showcases for the games I've put the most time and effort into on Steam. I'm proud of myself for earning all the achievements for Elden Ring and Resident Evil 2 remake. It feels good to be able to show them off!
Badge Collector: Possibly my favorite part of my profile. I decided to create a mini café or coffee shop by only using café-themed badges. There's cappuccino, coffee, tea, and a donut! As a bonus, I adore all the games these badges are from and highly recommend them. Some fantastic indies are represented here. From left to right, they are: Coffee Talk, Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus and Butterfly, If Found, Her Story, Donut County, and Cuphead.
Achievement Showcase: I picked achievements from some of my most favorite games here, sometimes featuring my favorite characters, like Lara Ravel from Pathologic 2 and Claire Redfield from Resident Evil 2. A friend told me that the achievements are set up in a way that looks like they tell a story, which makes me love this section even more.
Screenshot Showcase: Showing off some of my favorite screenshots here, including my most popular one of Cthuwu, a sticker I created in Sticky Business. Isn't she adorable?!
And that's my Steam profile! It may change in the future, but right now it feels very me and I couldn't love it more.
