Our New Puppy, Ranni

We could really use some puppy pictures in these trying times, couldn't we? Well, I'm happy to say that I'm here to deliver!

Danny and I adopted a puppy a week ago. We've been wanting a dog for a while, and one of Danny's co-workers has a friend with dogs who recently had a litter of pups.

So... meet Ranni. She's a German shepherd and Australian shepherd mix, and she's nine weeks old. We named her after a character from Elden Ring, a video game that's a favorite of both of ours.

We're still working on potty training and other basic puppy things, like "sit," but she's so cute and sweet and smart. She's a very laid-back pup, and she loves to be in our arms or close to our feet. We've already bought her a ton of toys, and she loves to play and chew on them. Of course, being as young as she is, she spends a lot of time napping as well.

I'm excited to see how she grows and learns, and I already love this little ball of fluff so much. Danny and I don't plan on having kids, so this is it for us. She's basically like our child, and I'd do anything for her. ❤️

Of course, like many other people right now, I'm devastated by the election results here in the US and fearful of what's to come. But having a small creature to care for is definitely helping me get through it. No matter what, I'll have Ranni, as well as my family and friends. I will do whatever I can to support the marginalized people in my community and beyond, and I will put kindness above all else. I hope you're all doing okay, and my email and guestbook are always open. ❤️
