Positivity Prompts
Today's journal prompts come from Sophie Cliff again. I wasn't sure what to write about, so I thought I'd choose some more prompts to do. These are all focused around positivity.
1. What is something that always puts you in a good mood? The first cup of coffee of the morning. Or just coffee in general, honestly. But that first sip of the day is always the best, and it immediately makes me feel like I can get through the rest of the day. Maybe that's a really superficial thing, but I can't help it. It's amazing the effect coffee can have on my mood.
2. When do you feel most at peace? When I'm in the water, preferably a lake or river. I love swimming and being in water almost more than anything else. Just floating in the cool water, looking up at the mountains and the blue sky, filling my lungs with fresh air... there's nothing else like it.
3. Make a list of 5 things you like about yourself.
- some of the writing I've done
- my kindness and compassion
- my thirst for knowledge
- my problem-solving abilities
- the people I have around me and in my corner
4. Write about a positive experience you've had in the last week. This week has been largely uneventful, to be honest. Work in general has been pretty positive. I've accomplished a lot and had a good meeting with my boss. Next week, I'll have three days off -- one for Labor Day, one for the VOLA concert, and one to rest and recover after the concert, which is needed at my age!
5. Write about something you're looking forward to. I'm looking forward to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights next month! I'll be traveling to Orlando at the end of September with my sister, brother-in-law, and friend. I can't wait to experience the haunted houses and just have a few days off work to enjoy myself and be surrounded with Halloween atmosphere.
