Ranni is 2 Years Old!
Just a quick post today to say that we're celebrating our girl's second birthday!
She started her morning by going to the dog park, where she saw her friends and played fetch to her heart's content. Danny stopped by a coffee shop on the way home, where she got a pup cup with a treat. After arriving home, she's had plenty of cuddles and more playtime.
I bought her a peanut butter-filled cow hoof (which you can see off to the right in the picture above), but she hasn't done much with it yet. She loves those things, but we usually get her the ones with beef and cheese, so she might be a little thrown off by the peanut butter.
Just a bit ago, we gave her a birthday dinner. I baked a small dog-friendly cake for her with peanut butter and apple. We surrounded it with pieces of her favorite wet food, which she has sparingly but absolutely loves. She devoured everything.
Tonight, I'll probably take her over to my parents' house to run around in their backyard. I'm waiting until it cools down a bit because right now it's way too hot to be active outdoors. Either way, she'll get more playtime and lots of hugs. 🤎
