Some Changes and Blogging Thoughts
Apologies if you happened to visit my site yesterday while I was updating the theme. Things might have looked a bit messy around here for a while!
I'm pretty happy with the new look. I didn't change much, but I wanted a simpler layout, and I had fun playing around with color palettes to come up with one I liked.
I also added a new guestbook via atabook. I've wanted a new guestbook for a while. Atabook's dashboard is so much better than what I'm used to, and it allows formatting, which seems like such a basic thing, but HTML Comment Box doesn't. I didn't do enough research on guestbooks when I started this blog and just added the first one I came across that looked kind of promising. I've learned so much since then.

Lastly, I changed my toast button again! I like the idea of tiny letters 💌, so that's what I've gone with for now. It feels fitting for February, at least.
I realized that I've blogged almost every day since 2026 began. I didn't set out to blog daily or have any sort of goal to blog more this year. I've just been working on a lot of creative projects, and I like to immortalize them here. This blog is like my digital scrapbook or online junk journal, in a way.
I plan on keeping up with the weekly photologs because I love using my digicam and I'm enjoying learning about photography. I've been drafting some other ideas for posts, but sometimes I get struck with a random thought or something happens that I desperately want to share, so I quickly pop over here to write it down in a rush. It's cathartic.
I can't help but feel a bit like I'm inundating people's feeds or something, though. If you're here with me throughout these blog-filled days, I appreciate it.
Creative Things I've Done So Far in 2026
- Weekly amateur photography with my digital camera, currently trying to focus on lighting
- Wrote a review for Adventure Game Hotspot (should be up soon!)
- Got into watercolor painting and made two Valentine's Day cards
- Added a bunch of slash pages to this site
- Created a new layout for my Hotel Dusk shrine
- Created a Koudelka shrine for a fansite jam (still a work-in-progress)
- Made a zine of indie game recs
Creative Things I Hope to Do in 2026
- Make a game
- Get back into needle felting
- Finish a large watercolor piece (maybe a landscape?)
- Create a physical collage
- Write a short story
- Write a fanfic
- Finish my Koudelka shrine
- Add to my coffee page
- Continue my indie recs zine
